The Uri attacks have definitely left a vital impact on Indians. Inorder to protest against this ill happening, Zee decided to pull down all the serials that aired on it's Zindagi channel. Zee's chairman, Dr. Subhash Chandra recently tweeted informing about the same.
At a recent conference held in Delhi, Dr. Subhash Chandra said, "This is an unfortunate decision we had to take today. We took many steps and tried all that we could to bring the people of India and Pakistan together. When we began Zindagi channel, I had promised the Prime Minister of Pakistan Nawaz Sharif that we will showcase your programs in India. I had also told him that the Indian programs that are aired in Pakistan are through piracy, but we would show it officially. So proper permission was taken by the Indian government. The Indian government also gave us the permission, people also supported us, the artists of Pakistan also came to our drawing rooms and bedrooms through Zindagi channel. But, they are doing it over and over again, in Pathankot and now in Uri. If you want to fight, then fight from the front. How will it work when you kill a person in his sleep? That's why the decision has been taken that the Pakistani programs will be taken off the air."
He further also stated how they had taken permission from the Indian Government to allow Pakistani shows to be aired on Indian TV. But post the cowardly attacks, the scenario has changed.
The Uri attacks happened on 18th September where 18 of our brave soldiers were martyred.
